Applications are invited for the following senior positions that have arisen in the University:- Computer Technicians (2 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate is expected to:
• Provide ICT support to a diversified group of users that includes students, staff and external stakeholders
• Install and configure software applications for (mail, spam monitoring, firewall etc)
• Provide hardware and software troubleshooting
• Liaise with external service providers
• Look at the university ICT assets and repair log
• Man the university computer labs
• Network maintenance
• Any other duties assigned by their head of section
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have at least (5) O’ level passes including English language and Mathematics and a Diploma in Information or related field, CCNA certification of CCNA 1-4 module certificates are added advantage, two years working experience in related field with a support of 200/+ computers. Candidates should have exceptional understanding of LAN/WAN set up, configuration, support installation and computer security. Application should have working experience in the information technology field knowledge of PC\Laptop\ Printer Hardware diagnosis, Repair, Microsoft, Windows and Linux products. Applicants should possess a wide variety in language programming, good customer care skills.
