REPORT TOCOMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
STATION :WARD
The Ward Development Coordinator is a cadre in the Ministry at Ward level whose key responsibilities and duties include:
1 . Implement Ministry programmes and projects that promote women empowerment, gender mainstreaming, community development, cooperative and SME development at ward level.
2.Organize and facilitate communities to participate in the projects and programmes being implemented by Govt Ministries and development organisations.
3.Facilitate and carry out trainings on entrepreneurship and skills development to enhance community livelihoods .
4.Facilitate funding of projects for women and community groups, SMEs and Cooperatives through the Ministry's funding facilities.
5.Sensitise communities on Gender Based Violence, Child marriages and assist communities on the referral pathway to end Gender Based Violence.
6.Assist communities in coming up with bankable project proposals for technical and financial support under Zimbabwe Community Development Fund (ZCDF) and Women Development Fund (WDF).
7.Promote, coordinate and monitor innovative financial inclusion schemes for MSMEs in the communities.
8.Facilitate provision of workspace and infrastructural facilities for local community MSMEs.
9.Facilitate and coordinate participation of community groups, women, cooperatives and MSMEs at local and District levels exhibitions.
10.Participate in the Ward Committee meetings and provide secretarial services.
11. Collect data for all the Ministry's programmes and projects being implemented in the respective ward.
12.Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
13.Carry out monitoring and evaluation of Ministry programmes and projects being implemented in the ward.
a)Minimum of 5 0' Level passes
b)A high degree of maturity, self-discipline, initiative and creativity
c)Ability to communicate at all levels
d)Ability to write reports
e)Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
f)Must be computer literate
