BACKGROUND
Youth Advocates (YA) is a multiple award-winning youth led organisation and is one of the Zimbabwe’s leading youth organisations and works towards responding to Zimbabwe’s worst humanitarian crises with programs targeting HIV and reproductive health. Youth Advocates helps communities survive, recover and rebuild their lives. Youth Advocates delivers online emergency support, protects young people, provides healthcare, prevents and responds to violence against women and girls, safeguards human rights and helps to kick-start economic recovery. Youth Advocates is a tireless advocate for the most vulnerable.

Youth Advocates seeks qualified, experienced and hardworking candidates to fill in the position of Community Ambassadors that has arisen in the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities

Beneficiary Identification.
• Registering young people to the Youth Helpline.
• Linking Beneficiaries to HIV/SRH service providers within the district
• Marketing the Helpline within the District through Community Outreach Activities.
• Data collection and Analysis
• Facilitating online sessions on HIV and SRH
• Project Monitoring and Documentation.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Report writing

Qualifications and Experience

COMPETENCIES AND BEHAVIOR
Ideal candidates must not be over 28 years with a minimum degree in Development Studies or
Social Work. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage. Candidates should have the following
demonstrated abilities:
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Ability to work independently or as part of a team
•An appreciation and understanding of HIV and SRHR issues.
•Computer literate
•Effective and efficient problem-solving skills
•Ability to maintain confidentiality.
•Ability to work with challenging issues in a sensitive and effective manner.
