The communications intern assists the communications team in various tasks, including creating and managing content for social media and the company website, organizing and supporting events, and helping with media relations. They may also conduct research, analyze data, and provide administrative support. This role offers hands-on experience in the field of communications and allows interns to develop skills in writing, editing, social media management, and public relations.
- Develop communication strategy for the organisation
- Develop fact sheets, brochures, articles for stakeholder newsletters and the organization's website.
- Develop engaging content for various platforms including website, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
- Manage and update social media channels, engaging with the audience and monitoring online conversations.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of organisational events, including creating promotional materials and managing logistics.
- Develop and run media campaigns, including drafting press releases and coordinating with journalists.
- Maintain and enhance the organisation's brand image through consistent messaging and visual identity.
- Conduct research on industry trends, target audiences, and competitive landscapes.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and report generation.
Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Communications, Journalism, Public Relations)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
