Background
CBM is an international Christian development organisation, committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest countries of the world. The main focus of CBM’s work in Zimbabwe is improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities and those at risk of disability. CBM intends to enhance its visibility and improve its external engagement with stakeholders and seeks the services of a Communication Intern.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities of the Communications Intern
CBM Zimbabwe is seeking the services of a Communications Intern to support CBM Country office in the following: Support the writing, editing of publications, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other material that communicates the organization's activities, programs and/or services; Maintain a media database; Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the CBM brand, and coordinate publicity events as required; Review and edit stories of most significant change documented by Project Officers, which will be shared with donors; Support the development of IEC materials and ensuring materials meet CBM branding guidelines and expected quality; Support coordination and guidance of the documentation of the CBM Zimbabwe annual reporting process.

Qualifications and Experience

Skills/requirements
Recent Graduate with Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field; Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign); Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and fine-tuned editorial skills.; Good time management and organizational skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms; Demonstrated ability to identify emerging trends in communications, develop related strategies and effectively translate them into actionable plans; Clean class four driver’s licence.
