Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities
Works closely with the M/E to develop and implement the communication dimension of the program/project; Conceives communication strategies, organizes communication activities and develops communication materials that contribute to the program/project results; Collaborate with M/E to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on the organisation’s need; Write and edit content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities and/or services; Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the organisation, and help coordinate publicity events as required by donor; Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.

Qualifications and Experience

Required qualifications and experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field; Minimum of 1 years' relevant experience in a communications role; Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop); Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; Good time management and organizational skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms; Knowledge in monitoring and evaluation an added advantage; Ability to plan, coordinate and facilitate events; Self-motivation and enthusiasm and ability to work under own initiative; Proficiency in design and publishing software.
