Cimas Health Group, driven by its purpose to inspire healthier communities, seeks a highly motivated Collections Officer. This role is pivotal in ensuring timeous update of contribution receipts received from members and member firms whilst implementing credit control measures in line with Collections & Recoveries Standard Operating Procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Working with the relevant departments, clients, and debtors on outstanding accounts.
• Tracking accounts to identify overdue payments and monitoring adherence to payment agreements.
• Keeping accurate and detailed records of all collection activities and client communications.
• Collaborating with internal departments to resolve billing errors and discrepancies.
• Providing regular reports on account status, collection forecasts, and collection performance.
• Adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to collections.
• Handling the receipt of payments and preparing revenue for processing.
Key Competencies
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to produce accurate reports.
• Ability to analyse and solve work-related problems to achieve the correct outcomes.
• Ability to plan and organise in line with job requirements.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Accounting or related qualification.
• At least 1 year experience in banking or similar role.
