Job Description Position Summary:

To provide business knowledge, experience and hands-on expertise supporting technical operations for UC collaboration technologies including: Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, audio/visual; video conferencing; and broadcast/event studio production facilities.

This position works closely with and at the direction of Yorktel’s Program Manager and the Client’s Enterprise Collaboration Manager to provide operations; idea generation; best practices; analysis; and subject matter expertise in the areas of enterprise collaboration (EC); integration; implementation; and support services.

Duties and Responsibilities

2| Organizational Relationships:

This position reports directly to the Yorktel Regeneron Program Manager. Daily operations, projects, and tasks are driven by both the Program Manager, who works in conjunction with the Client’s Enterprise Collaboration (EC) Manager. Both the client end users and EC staff and management are to be viewed as Yorktel clients.

Due to being the sole Yorktel resource onsite, and the fact that they will be 5 hours ahead of the Program Manager, working individually and under own initiative is essential

3| Depth of Knowledge Required:

This position is an intermediate level. As such, candidates must possess working knowledge and 3-5 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Skype for Business, Audio/Visual and video conferencing endpoints, components, peripherals, and infrastructure – for both operations and troubleshooting.

The position requires highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills that enable the candidate to diffuse tensions and control situations. The candidate must have the ability to tailor attitude, demeanor and conversations to all levels of the organization (from analyst to VP)

This position often interfaces with executives at the top of the client’s corporate structure. As such, a high degree of professionalism and discretion is required.

4| Authority and Decision-Making Capabilities:

This position carries no direct authority for decision making. The candidate must work collaboratively with Yorktel’s Program Manager and the Client staff and take direction from EC management. Sound judgment is expected when triggering escalations. It is expected that the candidate will work well and dependably with minimal supervision, as this is a single person Client environment engagement.

5| Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position carries no direct leadership or supervisory responsibility.

6| Internal & External Relationship Responsibilities:

While reporting to Yorktel’s Program Manager, this position is located on the Client site and works collaboratively with the Client’s Enterprise Collaboration (EC) Management. It requires a unique balance of providing guidance on UC Collaboration and studio production technologies while taking direction on daily scheduled activities for meeting supports and events; and taking direction on service offering design and capabilities.

7| Key Technical Responsibilities:

While reporting to the Yorktel Program Manager for this account, this position is on the Client site in Raheen, Ireland and works collaboratively with the Client’s Enterprise Collaboration Manager. The role requires advanced knowledge in the following areas:

Knowledgeable in current Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams conference technologies, management of platforms and peripherals.
Provide end user assistance on Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, VC & AV requests and equipment, as needed.
Understanding of and basic troubleshooting of Microsoft soft clients (Skype, Teams) on a user’s computer.
Unified Communications and Video conferencing room checks or pre-meeting testing.
Perform basic trouble shooting on site
Utilization of UC Communications monitoring tools for device health & status
Provide best effort assistance to fulfill UC Communications technical needs/requests as assigned.
Supporting general troubleshooting for the UC and VC Communications environment
Validating & testing of SRS and MTR device and VTC software and hardware upgrades and repairs.
Support UC services, conference room, A/V equipment and conferencing services.
Perform conferencing setups per Client ticket requirements.
Manage defied equipment inventory and tracking within your environment.
Meet and greet end user.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Unified Communications (Skype for Business and Teams knowledge), video conferencing (VC) and audio visual (AV) support.
Document, follow-up and accurately record incident work history through a workflow ticketing system for reporting purposes.
Providing reports as needed on projects and workload to support deliverables.
Provide live meeting support direct to end users
Provide additional support when required for All Company Events.
Provide live meeting support for Skype, Extron, Cisco telepresence and Polycom systems

Qualifications and Experience

8| Skills & Additional Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience in collaboration industry; predominantly with Microsoft UC tools and audio visual / videoconferencing technologies.
Industry certifications from Microsoft, Avixa, Extron, Crestron, Polycom, CISCO are a plus.
Working knowledge of UC, Cloud (video streaming), SIP and H.323 videoconferencing standards.
Working experience with major UC industry equipment such as: Microsoft Teams rooms, Skype for Business rooms, Polycom and Cisco; control systems from Extron.

Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts.
