Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure cleaning and maintaining of private residence, commercial buildings and similar establishments to make sure that it meets any housekeeping sanitation requirements and provides a comfortable space for the clients and employees.
• Scheduling and coordinating staff, performing specialized services to ensure all areas and equipment are clean, and communicating with other departments.
• Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding cleaning, housekeeping services and equipment and take corrective action.
• Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision.
• Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
• Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Assign rooms and common areas to cleaning staff and create employee schedules.
• Train and develop housekeeping and cleaning staff.
• Order cleaning supplies and reporting any necessary repairs or replacements.
• Give regular reports related to scope of work to management.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Skills and Competencies
• Relevant operations and people management experience,
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar environment on middle management level,
• Experience in Cleaning and Sanitising rooms to varying levels to meet requirements,
• High Energy Levels and Knowledge of how to use various pieces of cleaning equipment,
• Ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate customer needs,
• Good Customer Service skills and able to manage time effectively,
• Good listening skills to make sure that they are meeting the needs of their clients for cleanliness and sanitation standards,
• Reliability, Excellent Organisational skills, Integrity and Honesty,
• Experience in managing or overseeing large compliments of people,
• Understand cleaning principles and knowledge of company policies and procedures,
• Good understanding of scheduling of staffing and assign cleaning tasks productively to each position to achieve an output standard according to site specific SLA’s,
• Strong people skills and knowledge or Industrial relations,
• Strong on client relationships and strong communication skills,
• Be flexible and adaptable with very good Leadership skills,
• Attention to detail, Problem solving experience and Sense of urgency,
• Able to work independently and under pressure,
• Able to work long hours, after hours and some weekends.

Qualifications
• O Levels.
• A relevant Certificate, Diploma in Housekeeping, Cleaning, or suitable equivalent.
• At least 4 years working experience in a similar position and environment.
• Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
