Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts that have arisen in the University:

Class One Plumber (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities


Duties and Responsibilities
 Interpretation of drawings and planning the layout of water supply, disposal and sewer systems
 Installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing fixtures for water and sewer systems
 Estimate plumbing materials and assisting with the selection of appropriate materials
 Inspection of completed jobs and testing systems for functionality and compliance
 Maintenance of plumbing equipment and tools inventory
 Maintenance of gutters and down pipes
 Responding to emergencies
 Any other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have at least 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or better, a Journeyman Class One (1) and a National Certificate in Plumbing and Drain Laying or equivalent. Applicants should have at least five years’ experience in plumbing and drain laying, knowledge in water supply and waste water.
