Job Description
Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) a subsidiary of ZESA HOLDINGS is the leading generator of electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation’s electrical power requirements from its five power stations at Kariba, Harare, Munyati, Bulawayo, and Hwange. The company is currently undertaking a project to rehabilitate Hwange thermal power plant and is inviting suitably qualified, motivated, and experienced Zimbabwean Experts to fill the following positions that have arisen within WAPCOS Limited – a consulting firm contracted by ZPC to carry out project management consultancy services to the project. The positions will be based in Hwange, Zimbabwe.
Duties and Responsibilities
THE POSITIONS
These are senior positions that will report to the WAPCOS Team Leader based at the project site.
The experts in the various specialist areas will be required to provide technical advice to the ZPC Project Management Team and supervise activities.
Qualifications and Experience

A first Degree in the relevant field of specialisation
A Post Graduate qualification is an added advantage
Full membership of a recognized professional Institution.
10 years of post-graduation experience
Full membership of a recognized Professional Institution.
Formal Project Management Certification

Plant condition analysis
Repowering and Life extension work specification
Complex bid evaluation and adjudication
Repowering and Life extension standards
Construction supervision
Review of engineering designs and drawings
