Job Description

We are seeking motivated Civil Engineering graduates to contribute to the planning, supervision, and execution of residential housing and commercial construction projects while gaining practical experience in site operations, project coordination, quality control, contractor management, technical reporting, and compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Supervisor.
• Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.
• Ensuring that sites meet all the legal, health and safety guidelines.
• Monitoring and optimizing safety procedures, production processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensuring that the project work goes on smoothly according to schedule.
• Getting accurate information on the needs and requirements of clients.
• Making recommendations or presenting alternative solutions to problems.
• Confidently liaising with clients, architects and other professional subcontractors to ensure projects progress properly.
• Collaborates with surveyors to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction.
• Monitors project progress and ensures design specifications are met.
• Monitor the site work and prepare status reports for the management.
• Assesses strength of foundations, concrete, or steel by testing materials and soil.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree OR Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Proficient in computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording, and analyzation software.
• Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings, bridges, roads, and other related structures.
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
