Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to support the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of civil infrastructure related to waste collection operations and waste-to-energy facilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design, supervise, and maintain civil works for waste-to-energy plants, transfer stations, landfills, and waste collection depots
Oversee construction of foundations, roads, drainage systems, concrete works, and structural components
Manage contractors and ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations
Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and technical assessments
Prepare engineering drawings, project reports, cost estimates, and progress updates
Ensure compliance with local authority, environmental, and occupational health and safety regulations
Support continuous improvement initiatives for infrastructure durability and efficiency
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and environmental teams on integrated projects
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers.
• Registration/Licensure as a professional engineer may be required.
• A minimum of 7 years of industry knowledge may be strongly desired.
• experience in Landfill construction
• Experience in managing huge construction projects
• Familiarity with design software, such as Autodesk, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
• Knowledge of map creation software and photo imaging software.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse group of professionals working on one project.
• Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.
