Responsibilities for Chinese chef
• To maintain a high standard of hygiene for all food preparations. Maintain high standards of hygiene in his/her respective Kitchen, according to the standards required by the management
• Supervises Chinese restaurant kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures
• Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements for the Chinese management.
• Assists in developing daily and seasonal menu items for the Chinese management.
• Estimates daily Chinese Food Essential production needs
• Responsible for the correct timing during service and that food served is always of the highest standards.
Desired skills for Chinese chef include:

Qualifications for Chinese chef
• Ability to lead in all areas of the galley including buffets, production, Flexibility to work any shift in any area of responsibility without notice
• Grade twelve certificate with all level credit or better.
• Bachelors Degree in Certificate or better in Catering & Chinese food preparation
• Strong knowledge of herbs, spices, flavorings
