DEPARTMENT OF BIOINFORMATICS AND BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES
4.4.1 Chief Technician (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the post include:
• Supervision of Technical Staff.
• Maintenance and Repair of equipment.
• Quality Control.
• Inventory Management, Troubleshooting and Problem Solving.
• Equipment Installation.
• Compliance and Safety.
• Budget Management.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must atleast have:
• A relevant Master's degree, from an institution recognized by the University.
• A relevant certification HND/ Equivalent and added advantage.
• Aleast 4 years' work experience.
• Key Skills includes:
- Project management with experience in managing projects, budgeting and teams.
- Workshop management including equipment maintenances.
- Leadership experience in leading technical staff and students in the department.
