Job Description
Unki Mines (Private) Limited, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacancies which have arisen in the Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Department:-
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The role is responsible for the overall coordination of Safety Risk Management Programs and championing the implementation of Safety Systems and Standards (in line with the Anglo Safety Way).
Duties and Responsibilities
MAJOR OUTPUTS:
• Ensuring effective Safety, Health, Environment Risk Management Systems are implemented throughout the operation.
• Implementing and maintaining ISO 45001, IS01 4001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Coordinating and implementing the Anglo Group Technical Standards.
• Formulating, implementing and reviewing of the Operational Safety Standards.
• Managing direct reports output.
• Co-ordinating and participating in Safety audits for the site.
• Compile the annual Safety Improvement Plan for the Operations.
• Co-ordinating and participating in Risk-Assessments for Operations.
Qualifications and Experience
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• A relevant degree in SHE Risk Management/Occupational Safety/Health or natural sciences.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or 5 years at Officer level in a mining/mineral processing or heavy manufacturing environment.
• ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 Implementation and Auditing qualifications and experience.
• Experience in Operational Risk Management (ORM) and application of risk assessment techniques.
• Relevant SHE certificates (such as NOSA-SAMTRAC, NEBOSH).
• Computer Literacy: (Bowtie XP, Enablon and MS office).
• Good communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Clean Class 4 driver's licence.
