Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the vacant position which exists in the Zimbabwean Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company
The position will be responsible for
• Developing, updating and interpreting the company's policies on environmental management. waste management, environmental impact assessment and pollution management
• Developing an environmental management plan for all new projects and monitoring adherence to the plan
• Ensuring that the Company complies with statutory and regulatory environments, requirements
• Coordinating and carrying out IEAs for ZETDC projects
• Planning and coordinating the design of environmental mitigating measures for transmission and sub transmission projects
• Coordinating Line Surveys and Wayleaves Planning
• Ensuring attainments and adherence to environment standards pertinent to ZETDC
• Supervising staff within the section through setting performance targets area appraisals
The Candidates Should Have:
• A Degree in Environmental Management or equivalent
• Membership of a recognized professional Institution
• 6 years relevant experience of which 3 years should be at senior level
