Chief Engineer Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen for young, dynamic, creative and highly motivated individuals to join the Cresta Marakanelo Limited operating 12 Hotels in Botswana and Zambia as a Chief Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities


Job Role

i. Responsible for all Group aspects of hotel maintenance
ii. Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, heating and electricals at respective hotels.
iii. Responsible for Group hotel Maintenance Managers.
iv. Responsible for developing and implementation of annual maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance schedules at each hotel
v. Responsible for the administration of unit hotels maintenance functions and accurate tracking of inventory
vi. Responsible for the development of approved maintenance supplies at each hotel and thereafter evaluation and monitoring of the same supplies
vii. Responsible for monthly monitoring and control of electricity, water and diesel consumption at each hotel
viii. Responsible for assessing that fire, life, health and safety systems are functioning at each hotel
ix. Responsible for the development of in-house room care maintenance programmes at each hotel which will extend the lifespan of the room product
x. Responsible for technical input as part of the Group project team

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements

1. A degree /equivalent in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering plus minimum of 5 years’ experience;
2. Registration with ERB or equivalent body;
