JOB VACANCY: CHIEF ANALYST – MICROBIOLOGY, GRADE D2
The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) is inviting qualified, honest, self-motivated and experienced applicants for the following post: –
Chief Analyst (Microbiology), Grade D2 X 1 Post
1.0 Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head, Laboratory Services, the incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:
1.1 Microbiology Laboratory Management and Operations
1.2 Environmental Monitoring and Control
1.3 Reference Cultures Management
1.4 Water Testing and Analysis
1.5 Method Validation/Verification and SOP Development
1.6 Quality Management System Compliance
1.7 Data Integrity and Documentation
1.8 Team Leadership and Development
2.0 Requirements
2.1 Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or related field of study.
2.2 At least five (5) years practical experience in Quality Control and/or Quality
Assurance in a Microbiology laboratory in Pharmaceutical or Food Manufacturing or Regulatory environment.
2.3 Expert knowledge in Microbiology laboratory instrumentation and equipment including air-handling equipment.
2.4 Previous experience managing Microbiology staff an added advantage.
2.5 Previous experience with pharmaceutical cleanroom environments and aseptic techniques.
2.6 Proficient in the validation/verification of microbiological techniques.
2.7 Good time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
2.8 Good interpersonal skills, team player.
2.9 Practical implementation of Laboratory Quality Management Systems.
2.10 Knowledge and practical implementation of Laboratory Safety & Health.
