Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Acts as first point of contact for the Registrar’s Office and manages communication, including highly confidential information.
Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
Planning and coordinating delivery of the central services and landscaping in a way that meets the requirements of the University.
Supervises distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.
Coordinate repairs of student furniture.
Management and allocation of duties to the central services and landscaping staff.
Regular checking of all internal areas in order to ensure that they are cleaned and the grounds are maintained to the required standard.
Provide safe custody of the keys of the premises.
Ensure that adequate supplies of cleaning consumables and materials are ordered and that appropriate stock levels are maintained within the budget allocated.
Ensure that cleaning consumables and materials are properly and safely stored.
Ensure that cleaning and landscaping equipment is kept in good condition and properly and safely used and stored.
Ensure that all cleaning and maintenance staff wear the appropriate personal protective equipment and work wear when carrying out cleaning duties.
Redeploy staff and reschedule cleaning and landscaping activities to cover for staff absences.
Supervises cleaning of offices, kitchen, corridors, toilets, and workshop venues.
Ensuring hygienic standard of facilities at all the times.

Qualifications and Experience

A first degree in Management or a related field

Experience and Qualities
At least two (2) years post qualification experience in central services and landscaping.
Good team player.
Excellent communication, verbal and interpersonal skills.
