Job Description

The Casual Data Clerk is responsible for data collection and entry for Youth Boost Project which aims at increasing the number of adolescents and young people aged 10-24 accessing HIV, sexual health, family planning, Female Genital Schistosomiasis and mental health services in four provinces in Zimbabwe. The casual data clerk works under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and will work to support the project field activities and M&E related activities. S/he collaborates closely with Youth Boost Project team at central office to provide data management support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support the implementation of Youth Boost Project in the Matebeleland South, Bulawayo and Chitungwiza Provinces, Assist with data collection during project field activities, Minute taking during project workshops and meetings, Accurate capturing of data bearing reasonable judgment in carrying out exercise; Prepare, sort and check all project field records for the purpose of data entry and make sure that accurate data is being entered; Transcription/translation/transcribing of qualitative data, Minute taking of the project workshops and meetings, Proof read translated Youth Boost content and conduct any other duties as assigned by the line supervisors,

Qualifications and Experience

A diploma/degree in social sciences, M& E qualification is an added advantage, Sound knowledge and experience in qualitative data collection methods and experience regarding data capturing and well-developed computer skills; Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision; Demonstrated attention to detail; ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and cooperatively with project team; Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, consultants and recipients of assistance.
