Job Description

Responsible for selling food and beverages to patrons using available and authorized payment methods. Charges items, provides change, balances drawer, and processes card transactions.

• Charge items and ensure pricing is correct.
• Take customer’s orders
• Deliver food to customers
• Dispense correct change.
• Take money in form of cash or credit cards.
• Issue receipts, refunds and credits.
• Count cash before and after shifts to ensure that amounts are correct.
• Resolve amount discrepancies.
• Clean checkout area.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, etc
• Using point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Process returns and checks if the items are not damaged.
• Attend to customer’s needs and grievances.
• Assist the manager/ supervisor to prepare stock sheet and cashing up and any other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

At least 5 O levels including English and Mathematics or Accounts. Till operating certificate is an asset.
• Applicants must have at least one year experience, there must be traceable references. and also willing to work in a butchery, bar and restaurant setup.
• Till operating skills, math skills, attention to details, accuracy, knowledge of the security features of original money, efficient and fast when serving customers.
