Job Description

The Coordinator will provide guidance, offer technical support and back stopping to sub-partner Case Managers, the Department of Social Development’s National Case Management System and local communities

Duties and Responsibilities

He/she will collaborate with government stakeholders and is responsible for technical support, coordinate training, mentorship, supervision and support sub-partners and the government national case management system to develop an HIV sensitive case management system. The roles of the position will be focused on strengthening district level referral networks, household profiling and assessments, care planning development, review and implementation, case conferencing, as well as benchmark tracking. In addition, the Case Management and Child Protection Coordinator will be responsible for strengthening community systems for preventing VAC, child protection and GBV response that include child protection committees, child advisory boards and GBV multi sectoral coordination structures. He/she will lead and coordinate trainings for sub-partners and government service providers, case managers and mentors on LIVES and IPV to enhance and identification and support of survivors of sexual abuse. He/she will support sub-partners to deliver GBV response service package that includes linkages to PEP, EC, STI treatments and provision of non-clinical GBV services that include legal counselling, emergency support and therapeutic support and safe shelter. The coordinator will be the focal person for child safeguarding (CS) primarily supporting planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting on the CS. The cadre facilitate child and family safety skills strengthening through technical support and capacity building of implementing partners, government systems and communities to use evidence-based interventions and strategies that promote prevention of sexual violence and HIV among adolescent girls and boys. The coordinator will oversee the implementation of the ImPower No Means No Curriculum, Families Matter! Program, Coaching Boys into Men and SASA! And in-school Comprehensive Sexuality Education. The post will directly work with Case Management Officers and HIV and Violence Prevention Officers at sub-partner level in the districts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a postgraduate Masters in a related field
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in direct implementation of Case Management work in Zimbabwe.
• Demonstrated experience of providing technical support on Case management at all levels (Community to National).
• Professional training and experience with adult learning methods and facilitation.
• Knowledge of technical areas such as HIV, SGBV, child protection, work with adolescents
• Strong experience in providing technical assistance and mentorship
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders including government representatives, local community organizations, donors, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success providing effective technical assistance to local organizations.
• Experience implementing evidence-based HIV and Violence prevention interventions is an added advantage
