Job Description
Constructs, repairs, and installs buildings frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cuts, shapes, levels, and fastens together pieces of wood and other construction materials, such as wallboard, plywood, and insulation.
Comes up with recommendations on material to be used.
Matches materials to requested design specifications.
Paints and polishes the furniture and crafted work
Designs all furniture as per the needs of the company.
Repairs chairs, desks, other furniture and wood items.
Works with Designers and Planners on construction projects.
Measures building materials and spaces for installation accurately.
Orders building materials as needed.
Inspects and replaces damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
Any other related duties as assigned by the Superior.
Qualifications and Experience
5 ‘O’ level subjects including English Language and Accounts / Mathematics.
Class One Journeyman in Carpentry and Joinery.
5 years-experience in a similar role.
