Duties and Responsibilities
Job Description
The role is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the company
Major Outputs:
Purchasing of goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to make business savings
Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities
Prepare purchase orders
Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
Compliance to established procedures
Ensuring sufficient commercial control and adherence to Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
Degree in Supply Chain Management
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
Experience:
3 years purchasing experience within the mining environment
Project management and SAP experience an added advantage
