Job Summary
Cimas Health Group's purpose is to inspire healthier communities. In pursuant to this purpose, Cimas Health Group is searching for a Buyer to provide effective and efficient sourcing, supply of goods and services in line with Cimas Health Group Procurement policies & procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Preparing purchase orders for approvals in line with Cimas Purchasing policy.
• Prospecting for new and alternative sources of supply both locally and internationally.
• Preparing comparative schedules, evaluates and recommends suitable suppliers.
• Negotiating prices with suppliers in line with delegated authority.
• Advising suppliers of approved purchase orders and follows up for product delivery.
• Conducting supplier's turnaround time on delivery and advice the users and line management.
Key Competencies
The ideal candidate should possess clear verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to produce accurate reports. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be able to analyse and solve work-related problems to achieve the correct outcomes.
Qualifications
• Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• A qualification in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage
• At least 2 years' experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in Medical supplies environment is an added advantage.
