Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified and self-driven individuals in one of the leading FMCG in Zimbabwe to fill in the position of Butchery Supervisor. The role entails achieving set departmental revenue and profitability targets through efficiently and effectively utilizing all material, financial and human resources. The role requires an energetic and dynamic individual who has an in-depth understanding of the butchery lines to satisfy customer needs and expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Attain set revenue and Gross Profit targets for the Butchery Department.
• Regularly engage with customers and obtain feedback and customer expectations on the product range, product mix, and quality.
• Analyze customer buying patterns, understand seasonal trends, predict future trends, and prepare daily production plans which shall be reviewed and approved by the Store Manager.
• Jointly accountable with the Butchery Specialist in using scientific ordering to ensure zero stock-outs on display and ingredients for production.
• Take a lead role in planning and executing product merchandising, midweek, and weekend specials, and other Butchery activities, creating excitement and increased sales.
• Account for all departmental stocks and implement strategies that ensure that departmental stock losses are minimized and managed properly
• Oversee all health and hygiene standards of the Butchery department, conducting regular Health & Hygiene checks throughout the department, making sure expected standards are being met at all times.
• Prepare selected departmental reports, providing strategic recommendations for consideration by Store Management.
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Retail Management/ Carcass Cutting/ Supervisory Management
• 5 ‘O’ Levels (including Mathematics and English)
• At least 3 years’ experience FMCG industry
