Job Description

The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth and expand market presence through strategic business development, partnerships, and winning key projects/tenders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities (tenders, projects, partnerships) in the construction sector
• Build and maintain relationships with clients (government and private), consultants, and contractors
• Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and improve market share
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to secure business wins and enhance client engagement
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and project pipeline
• Support proposal and bid processes (tender documents, presentations)
• Contribute to business planning, forecasting, and budget setting
• Represent the company at industry events and networking forums
• Manage and motivate staff to achieve goals

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification
• 3-5 years' experience in business development in the construction is an added advantage
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
