Job Description

The Business Development Manager position at Clamore Solar is pivotal for driving growth in the solar energy sector in the region. This role demands a blend of great technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong interpersonal skills to enhance the company's market presence.

Duties and Responsibilities

Market Expansion:
Identify new business opportunities in residential and industrial sectors.
Develop strategic partnerships with local businesses, NGOs, and government entities.

Project Oversight:
Manage the design, installation, and maintenance of solar power systems.
Ensure projects adhere to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.

Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with clients, seeking feedback for service improvement.
Provide ongoing support regarding energy needs and potential upgrades.

Sales Strategy Development:
Create and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals.
Monitor sales performance metrics for strategy refinement.

Team Leadership:
Lead a team of engineers and sales professionals, fostering innovation and collaboration.
Provide training on technical aspects of solar systems and business practices.

Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare reports on market trends, sales performance, and project outcomes for management review.
Analyze data to inform strategic decisions regarding product offerings.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background:
A degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics preferred). additional project management, Marketing or business management certificates will be an added advantage.

Experience:
Proven track record in business development within the renewable energy sector.
Project management experience from inception to execution.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in the field of study is required.
A minimum of one year in either Business Development or as a Sales Engineer or Technical Sales Rep is required.

Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of solar technology and energy systems.
Familiarity with energy audits and demand evaluations.

Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for engaging clients and stakeholders.
Team collaboration and leadership skills for cross-functional initiatives.

Analytical Skills:
Proficient in market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in solar energy.

Problem-Solving Abilities:
Innovative solution development tailored to client needs, enhancing satisfaction.

Business Acumen:
Understanding financial principles related to project financing and budgeting.
