Job Description
Tsapo Group of Companies is a fast-growing organisation in the motor industry and is seeking to employ the services of a Business Development Manager based in Harare and Bulawayo.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Identifying marketing opportunities through meetings, networking, and digital platforms.
2. Putting in place strategies to acquire new business from identified clients.
3. Creating and expanding footprint and building positive brand awareness.
4. Reporting ongoing progress on business development initiatives to management.
5. Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences to stay abreast with market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with prospects.
6. Maintaining and updating a client database for continuous engagement with existing and potential business clients.
7. Collaborating with other business units to identify business units to identify business development opportunities.
8. Negotiate contracts for profitable agreements.
9. Working with the Sales team to come up with congruent and synchronous strategies.
10. Providing support to the Sales team on the sales and marketing initiatives.
11. Preparing financial projections and sales targets.
12. Preparing presentations and participating in management meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
1. A degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management, or a related business degree from a reputable institution.
2. At least 5 years' working experience in Business Development or Sales.
3. Motor industry experience (selling of buses, trucks or earth moving equipment) is a distinct advantage.
4. A clean class 4 drivers' licence is a must-have.
