Duties and Responsibilities
• Negotiate and procure freight business contracts for local (Zimbabwe) and cross border loads.
• Nurture business relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Conduct periodical market research, prepare and present detailed research reports.
• Represent the business at trade fairs and exhibitions.
• Prepare and submit periodical and ad-hoc business performance reports to the Managing Director.
• Participate in the strategic planning process.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Attributes
• Degree or HND qualification in Transport and/or Logistics Management from a reputable University/College is a must.
• A business related Degree /Tertiary Level Qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least 10years traceable experience in the Freight Industry
• In-depth knowledge of the Zimbabwe and SADC Freight Forwarding operational documentation, protocols and regulations.
• Knowledge of customs and Beira Port clearing procedures
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Clean Class 4 driving licence.
• Aged between 35 and 45 years old.
• Traceable employment references.
