An interesting opportunity for a Business Application Support Specialist has arisen within our ICT department. The prospective candidate shall be expected to develop innovative systems solutions, provide software support and administer projects. The successful candidate shall perform the following duties and responsibilities,
1.1 Systems Access Management
• Creation, assigning and disabling of new users in all Business Applications
1.2 System upgrades and integrations
• Systems testing on upgrades & new technologies to be implemented in the MicroBank
• Spearhead new projects and system.
• Facilitate system upgrades and license renewals for banking platforms.
• Document all project stages and timelines (Gantt Charts)
• Provide training and support to users on new technologies.
1.3 Database Backup and Reports Generation
• Running of End of Day on Treasury Dealing System.
• Running of daily Backups (verification and testing)
• Running of Monthly Backups (verification and testing)
• Generation of monthly reports
• Movement of backups to external storage and dumping to the Disaster Recovery Site.
1.4 Systems related technical support
• Attend to users’ system queries via helpdesk.
• Engage vendors and departments in incident resolution.
1.5 Applications Improvement
• Continuous analysis of systems efficiency and implement necessary enhancement.
• Continuous analysis of roles in the system to ensure that a user is assigned the correct access roles and privileges to avoid misuse.
Degree in Computer Science or related degree
Minimum of one year post qualification experience
Excellent programming skills is a MUST
