Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conducting building inspections in accordance with Model building by-laws; RTCPAct and other legislation of relevance.
• Conducting development control inspections as directed by the Planner.
• Maintaining and updating inspections records and registers.
• Being the lead builder on Council building works done in-house.
• Conducting minor building renovations, refurbishment and repairs on council buildings with the assistance of other builders and general labourers
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• At least a certificate in Brick and Blocklaying from a reputable college • A Class 1 Journeyman Certificate • At least 5 years’ experience as a class 1 builder undertaking notable construction works/projects
