Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts:

FACULTY OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES

Radio Station (Zvishavane Campus)

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate must be capable of maintaining and servicing the technical equipment of the station. Duties and responsibilities include the following:

Installation and operation of broadcast equipment
Maintenance and servicing of broadcast equipment
Troubleshooting broadcast transmission problems
Application of transmission collapse preventive
Drafting station policies that comply with proper handling and use of broadcast technologies
Liaising with external telecommunications service providers
Any other relevant duties as may be assigned

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

A BSc Honours Degree in Electronics or Telecommunications with at least a 2.1 class.
A Master’s degree in Electronics or Telecommunications will be an added advantage.
Registration with recognized professional engineers’ body will also be an added advantage.
At least one-year working experience in a broadcasting set-up.
