Job Description

1. Introduction and Background
ZELA has established itself as a premier natural resources’ governance organization in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa region and is one of the leading public interest environmental law organizations which prides of at least 38 Staff members and still counting. In our fast-paced environment, it is difficult to ignore the aspect that, the growth of any organization can bring with it pros and cons. Therefore, it is critical to ZELA’s reputation to sustain public trust and maintain partners’ confidence.
Over the past two decades, ZELA has committed to inspiring its talented professionals to deliver outstanding value and such a culture directly supports its mission of promoting equitable, just, and sustainable environmental and natural resources management and protection of marginalised communities and citizens in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa.
The rich mix of individuals, viewpoints, talents, and experiences found at the public interest law organisation is respected and valued. As might be expected, it is important to maintain the Brand and reputation of the Association from service provision to employee behavior and everything in between. This is because it takes a lifetime to build a brand, but only an instant to have it torn apart.
It is against this background that the organisation intends to convene a Staff training workshop which will focus on brand management, etiquette and how the ZELA Team members can elevate their professional presence and learn how to communicate more effectively.

2. Objectives
• Training on brand management
• Etiquette-Elevating professional conduct
• Cultivating internal and external brand advocacy through formal stakeholder engagement
• Proactively preparing for and responding to external threats through crisis preparedness, response, and recovery
• Taking advantage of opportunities to positively impact brand’ s perception.

Duties and Responsibilities

2.1 Specific Terms of Reference

At a minimum, the Consultant will prepare and execute the following:
I. Train the Team on Brand management and submit a presentation.
II. Introduce the Team to corporate branding that represents ZELA and reflects its values, and strategy. (The core values of the organization must be the guiding light of the brand building process, both internally and externally. It must be built into the Staff, expressed in behavior, and reflected in communication.)
III. Capacitate the Staff members on etiquette and how they can elevate professional conduct.
IV. Build their capacity on how to take advantage of opportunities and keep the brand alive.

Qualifications and Experience

3. Applicant requirements/ Relevant qualifications
• At least minimum of three years’ experience in brand management.
• Industry certification and experience in (Marketing, Communication and or Advertising)
• Experience with conducting similar trainings. Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills are a prerequisite.
• Educational qualifications in Marketing, Communication, Branding or a relevant qualification.
