Sante 24hr Medical Centre & Maternity Hospital is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Billing and Claims Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing claims, verifying patient information, and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance providers. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our hospital while providing excellent service to our patients. The candidate should be available to start as soon as possible.
- Receiving and Processing claims
- Reviewing documents for claims validity
- Maintaining records for claim forms and filing
- Experience with New Health263 essential
- Tariffs each examination according to tariff codes and amounts and bills all cash rates
- In-depth knowledge of medical claims regulations( AHFOZ tariff codes)
- Carries out online and manual submission of medical aids
- Produces invoices using claim catch software and checks for errors before sending them to client
- Produces debtor invoicing to be send to accounts and medical aids
- Responsible for daily distribution of claims to health funds
- Provides information to the Receptionists regarding co-payments, medical aid charges and cash charge
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role with a Maternity Hospital
- Degree or Diploma in Finance or Accounting.
- In-dept knowledge of medical claims processes.
- Proven experience as a billing clerk.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines
