Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task oriented individuals to fill the above position that have arisen within the Housing and Community Services Department
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will be reporting to the Sports Officer and will be responsible for:
Responsible for the safety of the people who use the swimming-pool.
Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of public swimming pools, the buildings and premises around them. Regular inspections to ensure that pool equipment functions correctly and hygienic standards are maintained. Control the supplies that are used in and around the swimming pool, Control the quality of the water of the pool and do the necessary dosing to keep the chemical balance correct. Plan and organise programs for the public and schools and publicise the pool. Handle any complaints from the public and also ensure that people do not misbehave at the pool or disregard safety measures. Teaches swimming and life-saving training. Supervision of workers and control the fees collected by the cashier
Qualifications and Experience
THE PERSON SPECIFICATION
5 “O” levels
Sports coaching certificate
Water safety, CPR and Aide certificate
Lifeguard and swimming coach qualification
Applicant should have at least two years experience as a Supervisor or Superintendent
