Job Description

We're looking for a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team. You'll diagnose and repair vehicle issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure all work meets high standards of quality and safety. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify problems
- Replace and repair parts and components as needed
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with customers
- Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize and manage workload
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including:
- Wiring and circuit faults
- Battery and charging system issues
- Starter motor and ignition system problems
- Lighting and signaling system faults
- Electronic control module (ECM) and sensor issues
- Install and repair vehicle electronics, including:
- Audio and navigation systems
- Security and alarm systems
- Comfort and convenience systems (e.g., heated seats, climate control)
- Use diagnostic equipment and software to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues

Qualifications and Experience

- National Diploma in Auto Mechanics or any relevant qualifications in a related field
- Must be a holder of a journeyman class 1
- Must have at least 4 years' work experience in a workshop setup.
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics and repair
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of electrical systems and electronics
