Duties and Responsibilities
AUTO ELECTRICIAN - CLASS 1
• Reporting to the Engineering Foreman, the job is based at the Mine and is responsible for the following:
Summary of Duties:
• Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Conducting electrical repairs and servicing of all electrical on mobile equipment.
• Carrying out daily inspection and routine checks on mobile equipment.
• Ensuring that breakdowns are resolved in shortest possible time.
• Operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ensuring proper documentation is done for record keeping
• Interpreting electrical circuits and drawings.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Five (5) O' Levels including English, Mathematics and Science.
• National Certificate in Auto Electrics
• Apprentice trained Class 1 Auto Electrician
• At least five (5) years' post apprenticeship experience working in a Mining or Heavy Engineering environment.
• CAT and BELL equipment knowledge an added advantage
• Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems.
