Job Description
Assistant Surveyor – (for Housing Land Developer)
Duties and Responsibilities
o Field data collection & measurement
o Assist with GPS/RTK, total station, and levelling survey work.
o Staking & layout support: Property lines, boundaries, easements, right-of-way lines, building corners, setbacks, and grades.
o Equipment setup, maintenance, and organization under a lead surveyor’s direction.
o Gather field notes; field documentation & quality control
o Coordination with project teams i.e. civil engineers, project managers, architects, and utility locators on survey needs and construction progress.
o Follow all applicable safety rules & legal/professional boundaries
Qualifications and Experience
o Degree in Land Surveying and Geomatics
o Proficiency in using surveying instruments, CAD software, and other relevant tools.
o Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies
o Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and legal requirements.
o Ability to interpret and analyse technical drawings and specifications.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
o Minimum 10 years proven experience in conducting land surveys and site assessments.
