Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably experienced and qualified candidates for the above position that has become vacant within the Gonarezhou Conservation Trust. The Assistant Storeman position will be reporting to the Storeman and will be based in the Gonarezhou National Park. People living in and around Gonarezhou National Park are encouraged to apply. Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving stock in accordance to set procedures.
• Ensuring smooth flow of the physical stock movements (goods issue, stock transfers and returns).
• Ensuring efficient issue of stock through process improvement and preparation.
• Carrying out daily data capture duties through the ERP system-Sage Pastel-for all stock inventory movements (issues, receipts, transfers and returns).
• Accepting and processing stock returns into the warehouse and recommend unfit items for disposal.
• Maintaining the bin card system as a back up to electronic inventory management system.
• Assisting in the filing of inventory documents and credible record keeping.
• Assisting in carrying out scheduled stock counts on time while following set count procedures.
• Assisting in carrying out inventory variance analysis and reconciliations of physical stock items to the electronic ledger.
• Assisting in the maintenance of ledger for returnable tools and recommend purchase of replacements.
• Continually maintain warehouse layout and stacking practices to implement safe and efficient layouts and stacking.
• Enforcing access restrictions to the warehouse.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain Management or similar recognized tertiary qualification.
• 3 years’ experience in a Warehouse environment.
• Experience with using store management software (Pastel) and fluency with Microsoft office (excel) essential.
