Job Description
The incumbent will assist in the Supervision and coordination of activities of the department to ensure that all upkeep, the distribution area and stock management are managed in an efficient manner
Duties and Responsibilities
•Assist in managing storage equipment and moving equipment
•Assist in tracking key figures on efficiency of logistics processes, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and best practices.
•Active management of work tasks and personnel deployment
•Warehouse structuring
•Assist in ensuring effective inventory management
•Assist in training of employees on the correct use of stock management systems.
•Monitoring and ensuring health and safety in accordance with national statutory and internal requirements
•Supervise and coordinate shipping activities to ensure efficient service to clients
•Assist in overseeing receiving, dispatch, administration and customer service for the distribution department
•Assist in overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch
•Assist in organising distribution incl. products, vehicles and routes
Facilitate daily, weekly and monthly stock takes
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelors degree in logistics/supply chain
• 3 years experience in the logistics field
• Hands on experience with SAP
• Logistics systems and process knowledge.
• Excellent organization, report writing, and planning skills.
• Excellent computer skills
• Self-driven and highly motivated
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly skilled in root cause analysis and problem-solving
