Assistant Mine Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
-Takes care of the underground production activities such as long-hole drilling, charging, blasting and lashing to meet daily targets. Responsible for safety and discipline of all employees within the section
-Compliance to statutory mining regulations, safe work procedures and standard operating instructions
-Special responsibility for major underground capital development such as mining of declines, loading bays and large infrastructure excavations.
-Formulation of sectional mine plans and schedules as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
-Responsible for control of sectional costs and expenditure
-Efficient utilization of mining machinery
Qualifications and Experience
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Education Level -Diploma Mine Engineering / B.Sc Mining Engineering
Knowledge Of - Gold Mining / Safety management systems
Skills To - Produce short to long term production plans and mine designs
Ability To - Lead, Motivate and Manage a Mining Team
Other Requirements - Experience in underground mining projects will be handy
