Job Description
The assistant management accountant will support the senior management accountant to ensure that financial reports to both internal and external users accurately reflect the financial position of the group. The assistant management accountant will normally partner with the technologies directorate at covering all aspects of management information and business partnering, but may be required to work with other directorates from time to time. The assistant management accountant will sit within the finance and commercial directorate area and the senior management accountant will hold the formal reporting line
Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including analytical review of the results and communicating underlying trends to the financial controller
Providing support during the annual budgeting process
Providing financial modelling assistance for potential new products or services
Preparing recharges for staff costs and shared services
Producing reports using software tools
Assist non-finance colleagues in order to promote efficient day to day working practices, whilst improving accuracy of financial data.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Accounting or Equivalent
ACCA/CIMA qualification
