Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the vacant posts of Assistant Director of Finance (Expenditure)

Preparation of draft expenditure budget.
Administration of loans and investments.
Preparation of draft Final Accounts.
Staff payroll administration.
Responsible for expenditure administration.
Preparation of monthly management reports.
Stores administration.
Supervision of bank reconciliation statements.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Attributes • An Accounting degree or Finance Degree from a recognized institution. • A Post Graduate Degree will also be an added advantage. • Applicant should have at least five years practical experience in the field of Municipal Accounting at a senior level. • Should demonstrate capacity to supervise accounting activities. • Must have traceable proof of having produced final accounts for at least two years. • Must be able to produce reliable periodic management accounts reports. • Must be able to do financial investment appraisal for proposed projects • Exposure to local authorities accounting systems is a must. In addition the applicant should be a member of at least one of the following professional bodies • Institute of Chartered Accountants (Zimbabwe). (ICAZ) • Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Zimbabwe). (ICPAZ) • Institute of Chartered Secretaries Administrators. (ICSAZ) • Institute of Management Accountants. (CIMA) • Association of Certified and Chartered • Accountants. (ACCA) • Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy. (CIPFA) The applicant should at least be a registered General Accountant (2) under PAAB or should provide pouf from PAAB that registration is in progress.
