POST: AMBULANCE TECHNICIAN
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities include the following;
Responding to all emergencies within and outside the campus area.
Saving lives by being the first respondent at the scene.
Assisting with on-site patient care involving stabilizing, managing and re-assuring the patient before evacuation.
Promoting recovery by swiftly evacuating the patient to the nearest appropriate health facility.
Documentation of patient details and taking of vital signs.
Medical equipment handling and general cleanliness of both the equipment and the ambulances.
Daily checking of ambulances and reporting of any vehicle faults or defects.
Participate in health programmes at the campus.
Any other duties as maybe delegated by the superiors.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 Ordinary Levels including English Language and Mathematics.
An Ambulance Technician Certificate is a must.
Registered with the Allied Health Professions and in possession of a current practicing certificate.
Clean Class four (4) driver’s license plus possession of a valid defensive driving certificate.
The candidate must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle
At least 4 years of experience in a similar position with traceable references.
