Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions that have arisen within the Environmental Management Agency (EMA)- an equal opportunity employer.

Administration Assistant (1 Post)
Station: Head Office
Reporting to the Administration Officer the job incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the administrative tasks are effectively and efficiently carried out in support of EMA operations.

Duties and Responsibilities


Duties and Responsibilities entail;
• Undertakes periodic asset checks for EMA offices and asset inventories.
• Maintains an up to date computerized master register for Agency Assets.
• Prepares annual asset additions schedule for input into the Master Asset Register of the Agency.
• Prepares purchase and payment requisitions.
• Maintains the fuel register and prepares purchase requisitions thereof.
• Produces reports on assets usage, theft or destruction.
• Assesses and produces reports on obsolete assets for disposal purposes.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification, Experience and Competences:
• Diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration or any other equivalent related qualification.
• At least two years relevant experience in administration, accounting or property management
• Self-driven with ability to operate within strict deadlines
