Job Description

Applications are invited to fill in the following vacant posts that have arisen in the Council
Reports to the Chief Executive Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Recruitment and selection of Council employees
• Administering labour relation issues
• Developing, implementing and reviewing of Human Resources policies in Council
• Administering the payroll
• Human Capital Planning
• Performance appraisals
• Preparing the departmental budget
• Maintaining and updating the Council resolution book
• Facilitating the formulation of policies
• In charge of Public Relations and Legal matters
• Coordinating and providing secretariat services to all Council committees

Qualifications and Experience

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Human Resources, Local Governance or Social Sciences
• Professional qualification from a recognized Institution i.e IPMZand IAC. Membership of professional body is a must.
• At least 3 years' experience on a senior Human Resources management post i n a public sector environment
• Should be between 33 years and SO years old
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
• Good interpersonal skills
• A citizen of Zimbabwe
• A clean class (4) driver's Licence
• Computer literate with knowledge in Belina Payroll Software
