VACANCY - ACCOUNTS OFFICER X 1

ROLE PROFILE
AFC Insurance Company, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings seeks to recruit an Accounts Officer reporting to the Financial Accountant. The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, processed, and reported in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

o Processing and recording accounting transactions in line with company policies. o Preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. o Managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Processing insurance premiums, claims payments, and commissions.
• Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring. o Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. o Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
• Supporting internal and external audits.

Qualifications and Experience

Job Skills & Competencies
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills. o High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Experience
• A bachelor's degree in accounting /finance or equivalent.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIS, or CIMA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• This is an Entry level position.
