Job Description
Softwarehouse trading as Paynow is a rapidly growing equal-opportunity employer seeking a results-driven Accounts Clerk. The job incumbent will be responsible for recording, analysing and maintaining accurate financial information in Accounting & Paynow systems. The ideal candidate should be capable of learning online systems with minimal supervision. He or she should be extremely organized and have great time management skills. The position reports to the Accountant.
Duties and Responsibilities
Accurately post revenues, expenses (including VISA expenses), and intercompany transactions.
Perform monthly reconciliations of bank, control, and intercompany accounts
Manage and process various financial journals and maintain proper filing of accounting records.
Update exchange rates on the Paynow system daily.
Prepare invoices for Paynow clients and follow up on payments
Reconcile consignment stock supplier accounts.
Handle financial administrative tasks.
Compile and process statutory payments and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
1–2 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance.
ACCA diploma level
Solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounting systems, and financial procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and competencies
Data Entry Management and Bookkeeping
Knowledge of Accounting Systems, procedures, reporting and standards.
Competent IT Skills
Knowledge of general record keeping and filing systems.
Working knowledge of Taxation principles
